NFL Fans Just Delivered a HUGE SURPRISE In Washington, After Few 49ers Decided To Take a Knee

Boos and shouts rained down on the field after seven 49ers take a knee during the national anthem.

The 49ers played a game against the Washington Redskins today and all yes were pointed at the players when the national anthem started playing. Last week, more than 20 players from the 49ers took a knee, but this Sunday the number was substantially smaller.

This is probably the result of league Commissioner Roger Goodell's recent memo, saying that it was time to 'put the anthem controversy behind us.'

It appears that most of the 49ers players listened and chose to show respect for the national anthem, but the few of them that didn't definitely felt the rage of the fans from the audience, as Washington Post Redskins reporter Master Tesfastion tweeted:

The 49ers are visiting Washington D.C. to take on the Redskins. NFLPA President DeMaurice Smith was also reported in attendance. But most importantly, this is the FIRST TIME that fans at FedEx Field, where the Redskins play, could be heard booing protesting players.

Many of us are not attending NFL games, but for those who went to see a game this Sunday and hoped that the kneeling will be no more, Booing is the least they can do. Let's spread these fans message on social media and let the NFL know that empty stadiums is their future.
