In Buenos Aires, one century-old theatre used to be called the Grand Splendid Theatre is turned in the on of the most breathtaking bookstores in the world.
This modern age style of the bookstores interior looks very attractive for the tourists. This old theatre who was built first in 1919 in Buenos Aires was called Grand Splendid Theatre and few years later was turned into a cinema.
It became a bookshop in 2000 for the first time, after the sensational transforming in one of the most beautiful bookshops in the world, described by The Guardian, as the second most wonderful bookstore in the world.
Fernando Manzone, the guy who stands behind this architectural renovation, kept the old and original details of the interior made by Pero and Torres Armengol. Including the beautiful frescoes on the ceiling , the ornate trimming lining of the walls and handrails, and also the balcony.
This bookstore which is almost 21.000 squares, sells more than seven hundred thousand books in a year, and attracts more then one million visitors.
